FOLLOW-UP REPORT: Another “Pattern Misconduct” Officer Letitia James Publicly Exposed — While Hiding Marc Fishman’s Case

Just weeks after releasing the Brian Greaige findings, New York Attorney General Letitia James published another “pattern misconduct” report — this time against Lt. Gabriel Cuevas, detailing years of illegal stops, frisks, and unlawful arrests substantiated by the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB).

In the Cuevas report (March 26, 2025), James disclosed multiple pending lawsuits and CCRB findings — proving that her office does publicly list civil suits against officers when it suits their narrative.

Yet in Marc Fishman’s case, Letitia James intentionally withheld his federal lawsuit and false arrest by Officer Lane Schlesinger from her public findings — despite nearly identical patterns of misconduct.

Why? Because James’ office was simultaneously defending Judge Schauer and ADA D’Ambrosio, both linked to Fishman’s wrongful arrest under Schlesinger’s command. Including Fishman’s case would have exposed a direct conflict of interest and required her recusal.

This shows a clear double standard and malfeasance within the Attorney General’s Law Enforcement Misconduct Investigative Office. Selective disclosure protects insiders — and silences disabled victims like Marc Fishman.

Letitia James can’t claim transparency while hiding the one case that implicates her own allies.
